Position: Senior Social Media Manager

Location: Santa Clara, CA

Our client, a worldwide leader in their space with sales in excess of $30 Billion last year, is looking for a social media expert to help drive their social media / internet marketing campaigns to elevate their PR and web presence to the next level.  They are looking for a true thought leader in the social media space. 

Description
This position’s focus is building and developing our client’s social media strategy.  The responsibilities of this position include developing a social media plan to support both corporate and product communications, establishing company wide best practices to mentor current employees about social media, and managing one program manager as you build the social media organization.  You will also be responsible for setting strategies around press relations and managing a team of PR specialist.

Qualifications
Our client is looking for someone who can be an agent of change in a large, complex organization.  They need someone who has a deep knowledge of social media and will be able to educate senior executives of the value of social media and guide other employees to carry out the work.  They are looking for someone who knows how to use social media to add the highest value to a large corporation.  A good candidate must have a proven ability to work with public relations and/or marketing agencies.  Experience managing social media campaigns of large corporations is a huge plus as well as relationships with influential bloggers.
