Day one of SES NYC is wrapped and it looks like it will be a good show this year.  Even though it was St. Patrick’s Day the panelists showed a lot of energy and had their message tuned into a lot of topics around tactical search marketing techinques.

Today the Expo Hall opens and the OS team is really excited to network with the attendees.  We're raffling off a Nintendo Wii at the show so make sure you stop by our booth (#1404) to get your name into the raffle.

There were a couple of interesting posts in the last two days discussing how to manage your SEM / SEM career:

  • Yesterday, Greg Jarobe posted the article, Finding Recession Proof SEM Jobs, in which he interviewed our very own Josh Gampel, the Vice President of Staffing Services for Onward Search.  Josh and Greg discussed the growing strength of the search engines and the power they have to create new jobs within the industry as well as how SEM and SEO professionals will fare in the current economic climate.  As Josh explains, we are seeing interactive and search marketing experience continue to be a highly coveted asset by our clients, and the demand for search marketing talent be very strong.
  • Also, Reality SEO had a good article on SEO Career Training and Search Marketing Education about how to best position yourself and plan your SEO career.

Well that’s it for me today.  We look forward to seeing those of you who are at SES.  I'll continue to provide updates on how the show goes!
